By accessing or using Psaxtiri (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Psaxtiri is a grocery price comparison service for Cyprus. It uses publicly available data from the e-Kalathi government database (Cyprus Consumer Protection Service) to help you compare prices across stores. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
2. Account and Authentication
You may sign in using Google to access personalised features such as saving shopping lists and addresses. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You represent that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your Data
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Key points:
- You retain ownership of the personal data you provide to us.
- You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide and improve the Service.
- We may use aggregated, anonymised data (from which you cannot be identified) for analytics and service improvement.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting [email protected].
4. User Conduct
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service; (c) use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service; or (d) interfere with or disrupt the Service.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, its design, code, and branding are owned by us. Product and price data is sourced from the Cyprus Consumer Protection Service (e-Kalathi) and remains the property of the respective rights holders. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our prior written consent.
6. Accuracy and Third-Party Data
All price and product data displayed on the Service is sourced exclusively from the e-Kalathi government database operated by the Cyprus Consumer Protection Service. This data is provided to us as-is and updated periodically by the government.
We do not independently verify, control, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, correctness, or timeliness of any pricing or product data. Prices shown may differ from actual in-store prices due to delays in government data updates, regional variations, promotions, or errors in the source database. Savings estimates are approximate and based on the data available at the time of your query.
You are solely responsible for verifying prices, product availability, and promotions at the point of purchase. The Service is an informational tool only and does not constitute a contractual offer from any retailer. Psaxtiri shall not be held liable for any discrepancies between displayed prices and actual prices charged by any store.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed €100.
- We are not responsible for any losses arising from inaccurate price data, store availability, or your purchasing decisions.
8. Transfer of Service
In the event of a sale, merger, or transfer of the Service or our business, your account data may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you of any such transfer via the Service or email. The successor will be bound by these Terms and the Privacy Policy with respect to your data. You may request deletion of your data at any time before or after such transfer.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Provisions relating to data rights, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
10. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the Service. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates the latest revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Cyprus. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU or Cyprus law.
